Long story short. I wanted to post this recipe to welcome Serena Williams to Join Foody and also share my thanks for such an awesome platform for culinary creators.

I actually had the honor to make sushi rolls for Serena back in 2013. I worked the U.S open tennis tournament in iron chef's sushi bar at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. When I saw Serena walk up to the sushi bar, I already knew what she would order and I would start rolling these for her. Make two or more, because it is delicious!

Step 3

Flip the sheet over onto your makisu (bamboo sushi mat) and evenly add the fillings across. Add the cucumber, avocado, crab stick, shrimp and a thin line of the tobanjan spicy mayo.

Step 4

Roll the seaweed and rice over so that it fillings are completely wrapped around in the rice and seaweed. Slice into 8 pieces and serve.
