This is an easy and delicious Flatbread recipe! It can be used as a base for dips, wraps and sandwiches. It's fluffy, tender and slightly crispy on the outside.
In the bowl of your stand mixer, combine the water, yeast and honey. Let this sit for 10 minutes.
Add the bread flour and salt to the mixer.
In a small bowl whisk the plain yogurt and olive oil until smooth. Add this into the mixer.
Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Add the dough to a greased bowl. Cover and let rise until doubled.
Separate the dough into 6 equal pieces and roll into a ball.
Add the dough pieces to a sheet pan, cover with plastic and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. I prefer to rest the dough overnight in the fridge but it's not necessary.
Stretch the flatbreads into an oval shape.
Heat your skillet until hot. Add a spoonful of ghee.
Add in the flatbread and cook until golden brown and crispy. This should take about 3 minutes per side.
Sprinkle the hot flatbreads with flaky salt.
