One of the most contested German recipes - the currywurst sauce is one of debate. This is one we love. Have a go! Make sure you have a good wurst on hand - a bratwurst or bockwurst - and don't be shy with the sauce or curry powder topping!

Ingredients

tablespoon
olive oil

bird's eye chillies
Split and seeds removed.

diced tomatoes

tablespoons
honey

tablespoons
red wine vinegar

tablespoons
vegetable stock

tablespoon
worcestershire sauce

tablespoons
curry powder
Plus extra to garnish.

teaspoon
paprika

tabasco sauce

Directions

Step 1

Fry chillies in oil.

Step 2

Add the tomatoes, honey, red wine vinegar, stock, Worcestershire sauce, curry powder, paprika and Tabasco sauce and stir to combine.

Step 3

Bring to the boil while stirring, then take off the heat and blend with a stick blender.

Step 4

Serve ontop of bratwurst or bockwurst, or get your hands on our Volkswurst sausages. Garnish with a little extra curry powder. Serve with a bread roll or hot chips. Enjoy!
