This salad is served as a refreshing snack or side dish. You can peel the cucumber or just wash it to keep more vitamins. Dill and cucumber are a match made in heaven.
Slice cucumber as thinly as possible.
Cut onions in fine rings or cubes.
Mix a sauce with the yogurt, vinegar, some of the dill, season with salt and pepper.
Add cucumber slices and onion cubes.
Chill it for 30 minutes. The cucumber will be thinning the sauce as it reacts with the salt.
When ready to serve, mix through and garnish with more dill. Serve with our Thüringer Rostbrätl, potato salat, and a cold smokey beer.
