These garlic-y dry fried green beans are an easy side dish to add to any asian meal, and one that’ll be awesome at a Chinese New Years Celebration! With only 4 ingredients - green beans (or haricot verts), garlic, soy sauce, and neutral oil, this will become a staple in your vegetable repertoire!

Ingredients

lb (pound)
haricot verts or green beans
trimmed. can use haricot verts

tablespoons
soy sauce
2
cloves
garlic
sliced
2
tablespoons
neutral oil
eg. canola, avocado, grapeseed oil, etc.

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Salt heavily, and add the green beans. Cook for 4 minutes (3 minutes for haricot verts), then drain and rinse in cold water.

Step 2

Heat up large pan or wok with on medium high heat.

Step 3

Add the oil and green beans and toss to coat.

Step 4

Add in the sliced garlic and soy sauce and stir to combine. Continue to cook on medium high heat until you begin to see the edges of the green beans begin to char, about 4 minutes.

Step 5

Taste a bean, add additional salt as desired, plate, and enjoy!
