I always try and incorporate something light and fresh for an appetizer for Thanksgiving. Too often appetizers for Thanksgiving can be heavy and filling. This recipe is super easy and is bright, flavoriful, and savory.
Couple notes:
If you can find persimmons, use pears or fresh figs
There are two kinds of persimmons - hachiya and fuyu - make sure to use the fuyu persimmons for this recipe as they can be eaten raw
