When I was a private chef, I used to make this cake at minimum once a month. Whether it was for guests coming over for dinner, a birthday, or just a special afternoon treat for the kids, this cake was ALWAYS a hit. Try this once, and I promise you won't use any other recipe :)
This recipe can be made in a half sheet pan (which is so easy, and always delicious), or into a 10" round springform pan. It's topped with a simple vanilla frosting that is truly the icing on the cake.
