A lovely, fresh soup to bridge sweater weather and sunshine and swimsuits. This makes a big pot of soup, but no one’s going to be upset about that, especially with how easy and quickly it comes together. This is a great recipe for working on your knife skills - go on, you got this! Tomato sauce adds a nice umami base/bass note while verdant, herbaceous pesto adds earthy richness (store-bought is great and easy here). Don’t skip the vinegar at the end, it gets the whole soup singing on a lively high note. Hello, Spring!
